See Girl Run - European Screening!

See Girl Run made its European debut at the 18th Athens International Film Festival.
The first of the two screenings was yesterday, and the next one will be September 30th, 2012.

More info can be found on the Festival's Official Website: HERE

Some  short reviews about the movie:

"Realistic, tragic and funny all at once, See Girl Run feels like a needle piercing right through your heart: so small and yet so painfully monumental!" 18th Athens International Film festival."
"Our daily life has a demolishing effect on the romantic moments that bring people together. The routine, the daily hassles, the stress and numerous other reasons make people forget why they lead a common life in the first place. And on top of the pie comes the cherry: expectations. All the beautiful things we remember, because normally the bad things are forgotten. All the things we would like to do but we cannot in the state we are in currently.
See Girl Run: Realistic and simple but not simplistic."

New Layout!

As you can see, there's a totally new layout on Robin's Green Shades. I felt like I wanted to go back to black for some time, I've always found black the most stylish of colours! :)
As you might have noticed, the Menu is not right under the banner anymore, but it's on the left side of the blog ;)
I hope you like this new layout!

New Robin Tunney Interview for the French Magazine Télé 7 Jours

There is another new interview to Robin by the French magazine Télé 7 Jours. You can find the scans at the-mentalist.hypnoweb and you'll find right below the translation I did.

Accused of murder and imprisoned, Patrick Jane, The Mentalist, has paid a bail of 1 million dollar. He's back working for the CBI and at the same time he managed to bring back Teresa Lisbon, who had been suspended. During tonight's episode, they are going to investigate about a case involving a psycopath, the death of a young girl found on a beach.
Q: Patrick Jane found out that the man he killed wasn't Red John. Is Teresa shocked about this death?
RT: No. She represents the law, but there has always been a sort of "moral" deal between her and "the Mentalist", who has always been clear. He had told her that he was ready to avenge the death of his wife and child.
Q: How the relationship between Patrick and Teresa has evolved?
RT: Teresa, who has always been focused on her career, changed gradually her priorities. To help Jane, she took risks, also "flirting" with illegality. Jane has enroled her for his battle. It's Lisbon that works for him now, not the contrary.
Q: Is it true that you asked to give your character more layers, more substance?
RT: Yes, despite always remembering that she was Jane's superior, he ended up being right all the times. Teresa could look like a complete idiot, and that harmed the balance of the show. Now she is more flexible. She is the head of the team and she often takes the resposabilities, even if often Jane and Lisbon face together the absurdities of the bureaucracy.
Q: It was you who asked to wear a cross chain?
RT: No, it's a detail written by Bruno Heller, the show's Creator, and it is linked to the death of Lisbon's mother, who died when she was just a girl. My real mom is Irish and practicing. She adores that cross chain, at the point to say to her friends that it was me who wanted to wear it!
Q: Rebecca Rigg, Simon Baker's wife, has found your role more interesting that the one of her husband...
RT: Simon and Rebecca are a wonderful couple. In Hollywood, it's rare to see two people so in love after so many years. I adore them. At the time, I accepted the role on The Mentalist because I knew Simon had accepted his role. I knew he was going to be a caring working partner. That counts a lot when you spend 10 to 12 hours together, five days a week, for six or seven years.
Q: On "Prison Break", your character died during the first season. Do you think Teresa is going to survive long?
RT: I hope that she will make it to the end of the series, but I don't know that. You'll have to ask Bruno, or Simon!
Q: The series has a lot of success in France. Rumor has it that a couple of episodes could be shot in Paris. Do you know anything about that?
RT: More or less. Personally, I'd love it. If Simon has this idea on his mind, it's going to be a reality.

New Interview to Robin Tunney for the French Magazine Télé Z

Here's a new French Interview (Magazine Télé Z) to Robin. You can find the translation I did right below. Thanks to @ProfessorTunney for providing the article.

Télé Z
Questions to Robin Tunney.
The Mentalist, the successful tv series that's airing on TF1 is on tv from August 28 with the new Season 4. It's the right opportunity for Robin Tunney to share her thoughts, with humor, about her character Teresa Lisbon, a role she plays since 5 years.

Q: Do you recognize yourself with your character?
RT: Not strictly, otherwise I would have never posed naked for a magazine! Joking apart, yes, my grandfather was a cop, and my aunts are all married to cops so, inevitably...

Q: How do you explain the success of The Mentalist?
RT: I think people now are so fed up of seeing cops using their guns on every occasion, even when they ask them what time is it. Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) has that kind of charme that allows him to reach his goals solely with his brain power. After years with that first kind of vision, it's refreshing to see that.

Q: The CBI, California Bureau of Investigation, does it really exist?
RT: Yes, it's a sort of FBI subsidiary. The big difference is that this agency based in Sacramento can't cross the jurisdiction of the Golden State (California). CBI's vocation is to assist the most delicate cases. I had the occasion to meet some of their representatives. To be honest, they work most on files than on the field.

Q: What are your parents' jobs?
RT: My mom was a waitress. My dad sells cars. You have to be a really good actor to make people believe that they are going to get the best deal of their life. Especially when the car is a four-wheeled wreck...

CBS to Push Sunday Slate Back 30 Minutes on Days of NFL Doubleheaders

CBS is trying out a new play it hopes will ease primetime confusion — and save fans of shows such as The Good Wife and The Mentalist much frustration! — on the days the network hosts NFL doubleheaders. On Sundays featuring back-to-back afternoon football games, CBS will push back its entire primetime lineup half an hour in the Eastern and Central time zones. That means 60 Minutes will begin at 7:30/6:30c, leading into Big Brother/The Amazing Race at 8:30. The Good Wife follows at 9:30, and the relocated The Mentalist closes the night at 10:30. Though DVRs and on-screen cable guides will automatically pick up on the shifts, the affected Sundays are as follows: Sept. 16 and 23; Oct. 7 and 21; Nov. 4 and 18; and Dec. 2, 16 and 30. Also to be noted: Primetime start times in Mountain and Pacific time zones will not change. The move is in response to doubleheader day overages – which traditionally make it difficult for fans to know exactly when primetime shows will begin – as well as NFL’s recently announced kickoff time change, which pushes everything back 10 minutes more. It was previously confirmed that The Mentalist, which was at risk of airing at godknowswhen o’clock, will make full episodes available online the next day. Fans of CBS’ Sunday evening programs can sign up for schedule alerts via email, text and social media at www.cbs.com/eye-lerts.

New (Old) Article: "I love complicated roles" (2006)

I found this old article from 2006 written when Robin attended her movie "Hollywoodland" premiere during the 2006 Dubai Film Festival.
Here's the transcription:

"I love complicated roles."
by Mary Nammour
DUBAI
Robin Tunney, the charming green-eyed actress who starred in "Hollywoodland", found Dubai to be a unique place to visit.
"I thought the UAE would be a predominantly homogeneous country, but I was mistaken; I was amazed at the number of nationalities one can come across here in Dubai. I have already been to Old Gold Souk and the Polo Match field where I enjoyed a match between India and Dubai Club. I will be going to the desert for the closing night Gala. I would love to see more of Dubai if I had the chance", Tunney told "Khaleej Times".
Tunney, who played the role of Leonore Lemmon in Hollywoodland, an inspiring New Yorker looking for opportunities in her career as an actress and singer, said her role in the film was quite exciting as it involved a tumultuous relationship with George Reeves played by Ben Affleck.
"I love complicated roles and I can be good at playing negative characters. The film is based on a true story. Leonore was a real person. She was wild, she fell for Reeves the moment she saw him and she ran after him. She was the first suspect in his murder."
Tunney, who began her career 15 years ago, won the Best Leading Actress award at the Venice International Film Festival in 1998 for her role in "Niagara, Niagara".
I also found some photos from the same event in 2006:
