New Interview: Q&A with Robin Tunney

Image
New Interview with Robin, released by Anthem Magazine A gaggle of teens with the “coolest job in the world”—hawking music while listening to same—are faced with the impending sale of their beloved record store to a big and shiny tunes chain. Four teenage girls at a Catholic prep school form a coven of witches to strike back at their peers and use their newfound sorcery for personal gain. At the end of the second millennium, Satan visits New York City in search of a bride to bear the Antichrist—over Arnold Schwarzenegger’s dead body. The connecting thread between Empire Records, The Craft, and End of Days is of course Robin Tunney, who hit it big in the late ‘90s and has grown to show as much longevity in her career as the select films from her body of work—cult phenoms, if not cultural touchstones by some measure. Now most widely recognized for her seven-year tenure on The Mentalist, which ended its run in 2015, the actress is teaming up with Nicolas Cage in Tim Hunter’s Looki

Robin Tunney Lands Lead Role for ABC's New Series 'The Fix'

Image
Source: @TheFixWriters Robin Tunney is coming back to TV and with a lead role! I'll be sure to post more info as they will be released. Check out this article shared by Deadline : Former The Mentalist star Robin Tunney is returning to television as the lead of ABC drama pilot The Fix. Set as one of the central roles opposite Tunney is another former TV series lead, Tyrant‘s Adam Rayner. Described as part legal thriller, part confessional and part revenge fantasy, The Fix is written by Marcia Clark, Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain and directed by Larysa Kondracki. After losing the biggest case of her career and being shredded by the media, former prosecutor Maya Travis (Tunney) has left Los Angeles for a quiet life in rural Oregon. Eight years after her devastating defeat, the murderer strikes again, forcing Maya to return to L.A. to confront him one more time. When the jury found Oscar-award winning actor Sevvy Johnson innocent of a double murder, the case’s leading pros

New Interview: Robin Tunney Talks Looking Glass and The Craft

Image
Another new interview released by FoxNews in which Robin talks about her new movie released today, Looking Glass, and also some of her iconic roles such as in Craft and Empire Records. Robin Tunney has starred in some of the most iconic films from the ‘90s, but these days she’s opening a creepy motel alongside Nicolas Cage just for a good thrill. The duo star as a married couple in “Looking Glass,” a voyeuristic film where they are faced with disturbing, unexplained events occurring inside of what should be a desert oasis. Tunney, who captivated teens in cult classics like “Empire Records” and The Craft,” said she’s been waiting for years to work alongside Cage —and it was worth it. Fox News spoke with Tunney about what surprised her the most about Cage, her favorite memory with Arnold Schwarzenegger and whether she stays in touch with her former cast mates from “The Craft.” To continue reading the interview, click on Read More.

New Interview: Robin Tunney on Looking Glass and Working with Nicolas Cage

Image
New Interview in which Robin talks about Looking Glass and working with Nicolas Cage, published by Film School Rejects Robin Tunney cannot believe she gets to act alongside Nicolas Cage. To hear her tell it, titans like Robert De Niro have nothing on the man who drowned misery in Leaving Las Vegas and overshadowed James Bond in The Rock. Frequent readers of Film School Rejects already know this. If you have not been consuming Chris Coffel’s weekly excursions into The Tao of Cage, then you’ve simply been doing life wrong. Cage is a major presence in cinema, and every film he has blessed is worth your attention. Fellow actors are scrambling over themselves to work with him, and to study him. Tunney rearranged her life to make it happen. Looking Glass, from director Tim Hunter (River’s Edge), is a ruthless little thriller. After a couple loses their child to an unnamed tragedy, they uproot themselves from their safe and knowable surroundings to rediscover purpose as motel propriet

New Interview: Robin Tunney Talks Looking Glass

Image
New Interview from  Shock Ya.com  in which Robin talks about her upcoming new movie Looking Glass (to be released tomorrow in select theaters and VOD). Sometimes it takes new and unexpected encounters for people to truly start contemplating their decisions, emotions and mortality. That’s certainly the case for the struggling protagonists, a married couple that feels engaging in new experiences in an unfamiliar environment can help them overcome their past trauma, in the new voyeuristic thriller, ‘Looking Glass.’ But running from their previous pain and loss has in fact actually just pushed them into an even more dangerous and life-threatening situation. The drama was directed by experienced television helmer, Tim Hunter, and written by Jerry Rapp and Matthew Wilder. Momentum Pictures will release ‘Looking Glass’ on Friday in select theaters, as well as on VOD and Digital HD. Click on Read More to read the complete Interview.

Looking Glass: New Promotional Still, Clip and Review

Image
Following, a new promotional still from Looking Glass with Robin, a new clip from the movie, and a review. Looking Glass will be available on VOD and in select theaters starting February 16, 2018, in the US. Source: filmschoolrejects.com Source: rottentomatoes.com Clip from Yahoo Review from Filmschoolrejects.com : Nicolas Cage and Robin Tunney star as a married couple that recently suffered a terrible tragedy when their young daughter fell off a balcony and died. While it wouldn’t be fair to place the blame on either parent, they both did play a role in this unfortunate accident. In an effort to get a fresh start and move on with their lives they decide to purchase a motel off an ad they see on Craigslist. Neither has any experience running a motel, but their hope is that moving to a small town and trying something new will allow them to clear their heads. Read the rest of the review HERE

Robin Tunney "Would've Done Anything" to Star With Nicolas Cage in 'Looking Glass'

Article from Comicbook.com Actress Robin Tunney has starred in a variety of projects over the years, from '90s hits like Empire Records and The Craft to starring in the TV series The Mentalist for seven years. With her new film, Looking Glass, Tunney stars as a woman relocating to a motel in the desert that's a hot spot of seedy activity, as she and her husband (Nicolas Cage) get in over their heads. As far as what drew the actress to the role, it didn't require more knowledge than the opportunity to work with Cage. "I did it because I'm a huge Nicolas Cage fan, huge, and I would've done anything that they asked me to do with him," Tunney confessed to ComicBook.com. "The director, Tim Hunter, I'd worked with before in the '90s, and I really liked him, and I just had a baby, and they're like, 'Do you want to come and do this movie?' I think Nicolas Cage is one of the greatest living actors. I think that he's so talented and

'The Craft' Star Robin Tunney "Would Love" to Be Involved in a Sequel

Article from Comicbook.com Witches have always been an integral component of horror films, dating all the way back to 1922's Häxan. One of the most beloved witch films of the last few decades is 1996's The Craft, focusing on a coven of high school-aged witches who unlock a variety of supernatural abilities. With various reports of the film getting a reboot or possible sequel, star Robin Tunney says she'd be interested in reprising her role, so long as the right filmmakers were attached. "I feel like if it came along and the script was good and I actually thought it was going to be something...I want them to find a great director. I think they've gone through a lot of writers. If it was something where I felt like they were going to do it well, and also find a way, because it's been so much time, you can't just do a sequel," Tunney shared with ComicBook.com. "I think on some level, it totally has to, in order to feel relevant, I think it should
