At the Warner Studios, we've met The Mentalist's heroine, while she was filming the penultimate episode of Season 7. She talked about the Season 6 Finale, that airs on TF1 tonight.

Robin Tunney, this finale has romantic comedy's elements, and things are going to speed up between Patrick and Teresa...
There's a kiss, yes... Simon and I, we know each other so well since such a long time... it wasn't easy to film. Sometimes, as an actress, I feel more comfortable filming romantic scenes with a stranger rather than with a friend. Simon and I, we are like brother and sister.

Season 6 finale was supposed to be the Series finale, right?
Yes, and I think it would have been a satisfying conlucsion, and back at the time, we all thought that. For that reason, it was kind of strange when they told us we were going to film a mini-season 7. The question was: which directoin to take? Luckily, the Writers have done a great job. Personally, I think this finale is really beautiful and I am proud of it.

How is their relationship going to evolve in Season 7?
Teresa and Patrick are two people who have been so alone, from a sentimental point of view, and they are scared, they are vulnerable. It will always be very romantic and discreet. And personally I think that's a good thing. Sometimes I think that cinema and tv tend to be too eager to show sex. But with them, it's gonna be more old fashioned, and it works for them. Simon always says, joking, that our two characters are like old people dating. (laughs)

Friday 19 will be the very last day of filming: how do you feel about it?
It's sad, because we are facing those feelings again. We thought we had already faced that after the end of Season 6! Knowing that we will have to say goodbye again, it's hard... Thinking that I'm going to work on new projects, that's exciting and scary at the same time.
