Simon Baker will direct an episode this year as well, and it will be episode 7x05.

Sad news today. Actress Emily Swallow, who played Agent Fisher on The Mentalist during Season 6, won't be returning for Season 7. In fact, Emily will appear on a new tv series, and on her official twitter account , she has implicitly confirmed she won't be on The Mentalist anymore. The fans, as a sign of appreciation for her great work on The Mentalist, will trend on twitter "We Love Emily", Thursday August 14, at 2pm EST. The Mentalist's Writer Jordan Harper posted on his twitter a clarification for the fans with the titles of the first three episodes of Season 7, and their airing order: 7x01: "Nothing But Blue Skies" 7x02: "The Graybar Hotel" 7x03: "Orange Blossom Ice Cream"
