Robin Tunney's Interview from the Monte-Carlo TV Festival Magazine

I've translated from French Robin's Interview for the Monte-Carlo official magazine "Télévisions".

She has become popular to the fans with tv series like "Prison Break", and Robin Tunney is in Monte-Carlo, under the features of Teresa Lisbon, her character who is the boss, and the one who stands up to The Mentalist.
The journalists, and especially the lovers of this successful series, had the chance to discover something more about Season 5 and her realtionship with the beautiful Simon Baker alias Patrick Jane.
Impressions of an actress who is visibly happy to play such a successful role...

We had the feeling that Robin Tunney exists just as Teresa Lisbon. During the press conference, one mention of her career in the movies, honored in 1995 with an Award at the Venice Film Festival (for "Niagara, Niagara"), not a hint of a future project, and just a mention of "Prison Break"...
And suddenly, a flood of questions about her character's relationship with The Mentalist.
"We can already call it a love relationship, more platonic than romantic. I haven't received indications by Bruno Heller, the series' Creator, about how this realtionship is going to evolve. Of course, I'd love a kiss, but at the same time I'd feel like kissing my brother."

This is a feeling that exists also in their real life, as Simon Baker "is a wonderful friend, who considers me as his tv wife, he's never tired, always looking good, who made me a better actress. Sometimes I don't even have to act as our bond is so real."

And how we can analyze Season 5?
"I think this is the most interesting season, the strongest, where we keep the presence of the Red John's storyline very powerful. And I really don't know the storyline's outcome..."

And how about directing an episode like Simon? Is she tempted?
"Of course, and it would look great on my businness card. But it scares me at the same time, especially the ability of answering every questions coming from the crew. Simon has done it very well, he loves this kind of responsibility."

Robin Tunney is the first one who hopes to be surprised by the series' outcome. Surprised the same way she has been during this Festival, when for example she ran into Jacqueline Bisset, one of her icons, "so sexy". "During these moments of happiness, I still have the butterflies!".
