Robin Tunney in Japan to promote "The Mentalist". 


We met Robin Tunney, star of The Mentalist, in Japan to promote the tv drama. 
“The Mentalist” revolves around Patrick Jane. He reads people's hearts. He cooperates with the CBI as a consultant, and he closes various cases with his abilities. Simon Baker plays Patrick Jane. He became popular for his role in this drama. Robin plays agent Lisbon, Jane's partner.
She seems to be on really good terms with her co-star Simon Baker. 
Robin talked with us about the difficulties of working on a television series. 
"We usually work very long hours. Shooting might take a long time every day, about for 14 or 17 hours. Sometimes I'm so tired, I can't even say anything at all. It's hard work, but there's a lot of fun in it of course. I especially remember one day of shooting, where I really enjoyed a scene where Simon and I walked talking to each other." 


The good relationship amongst the cast has surely helped the series to keep its great success.


In the highly competitive world of American drama television, why does this drama keep on having this success? We asked Robin Tunney this question. 
"There are a few reasons. First of all, a lot of viewers want to watch Simon Baker (laughs). 
I think his charm attracts people, like a magnet.  This drama's entire atmosphere is unique. 
It emphasizes the characters, and there is also a good share of humor. 
Jane's character reminds you of Sherlock Holmes and Columbo.”


And what about the relationship between Jane and Lisbon? 
During the first and the second season, Lisbon was afraid that Jane's behaviour could wreak havoc on the cases. However, during the third season, she and her boss have come to an understanding about Jane's methods. 


We asked Robin Tunney the highlights of the third Season. 
"There are spies of Red John inside the CBI but we don't know who they are.” 
Van Pelt gets a perfect boyfriend, Jane will get a little darker, and I'm smiling more (laughs)".
