"See Girl Run" among Films to be big draws at RiverRun International Film Festival

"See Girl Run was picked by relishnow.com as one of the films to be big draws at RiverRun International Film Festival this year:

Nate Meyer, a graduate of the filmmaking school at UNC School of the Arts, wrote and directed this charming film about a young woman (Robin Tunney of "The Mentalist") whose life and marriage haven't turned out as she'd hoped. Nothing is drastically wrong, but she's not living the kind of fairy-tale existence she thought she would. So she begins flirting with the notion of going back to her high-school boyfriend (Adam Scott of "Parks and Recreation"), a frog-painting artist/waiter who still loves her, but hasn't managed to grow up. The film is sweet and quirky without falling into the clichés that mar so many romantic movies. It's a refreshing take on the genre, and a film well worth seeing. Meyer has done his alma mater proud. — Susan Gilmor
