NEWS: Robin Tunney & Julia Garner Join Zachary Quinto for MCC's SMOKEFALL

Just released news! Robin will make her stage debut next year! Such an exciting news! Here all the details: MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) is thrilled to announced that film and television star Robin Tunney will make her stage debut opposite the previously announced Zachary Quinto in the New York premiere of Smokefall ,by Noah Haidle and directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. Tunney is best known for her breakthrough performances in films such as Empire Records, The Craftand Niagara, Niagara, and most recently seven seasons on CBS's hit drama "The Mentalist." Tunney and Quinto will also be joined by rising star Julia Garner, currently starring opposite Lily Tomlin in the Oscar-buzzed independent film Grandma; and NYC theater veterans Jon DeVries and Brian Hutchison. Robin Tunney among the Cast of a new play's reading, "A Future Perfect"

Marsha Mason is set to direct a closed reading of a new play "A Future Perfect" by Ken Urban on March 5th at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre. The play is described as a timely, new comedy about friendship, babies, and the bittersweet taste of success. A Future Perfect recently concluded its world premiere run at Boston's SpeakEasy Stage Company, directed by M. Bevin O'Gara. The play follows husband-and-wife pair Claire and Max, who find their values put to the test when best friends Alex and Elena announce they are having a baby. The reading will feature a cast including Robin Tunney from "The Mentalist", Michael Nathanson from "The Knick" and James McMenimen who was last seen on Broadway with James Franco in Of Mice and Men and also appeared in the revival of Our Town at the Barrow St. Theatre.
